About the school
The Marist School
The Marist School is a through independent day school for girls ages 2-18 years. The school has been on this site since 1947, but the Marist Order and the Marist Sisters were founded in 1816 and a school was opened in 1870 in Richmond. An interesting fact about the current site was that just before the school moved here the site was used by the American High Command and where Eisenhower was based and has a signed letter from him hanging in Reception as a reminder.
