How did Heathmount start using Involve?

Rebecca, our deputy head, brought it to us. We were using several different systems and saw the potential to bring more of that work together. We launched in January 2026, ahead of our SOCS renewal. “Since then, we haven't really looked back.”

What has made the biggest difference?

We have hundreds of music lessons each week, alongside fixtures and other activities. 3D attendance helps close gaps in registration: “we could always find out where children was at all times.” Magic Scheduler has “probably saved several hours per week” for our music team.

What matters most to you as IT manager?

Single sign-on is “a huge win from me.” Staff and students can get in with one button, and the MIS sync means “I haven't got to set up any users manually or anything like that.”

How are you using bookings?

We use Involve to book rooms, sports facilities, minibuses and school phones. Staff can see what’s already scheduled and book around it: “They can just come straight onto here, check the resource, and if available, they can book it themselves.”

How did the first online parents’ evening go?

The scheduling and parent booking process worked well, but the calls had connectivity problems.

What feedback have you heard from parents?

“We've had exceptional feedback from the parents about the the parent app and how it works and the simplicity of it. And how everything is under one roof now.” That feedback has mostly reached us through word of mouth.

What would you improve?

I’d like more regular updates on development requests. I understand that priorities change, but “sometimes when there's that kind of long period of silence, it's quite frustrating” from the school’s perspective.

What would you say to other schools?

Accepted Answer

I’d encourage them “to at least have a demo of the platform and and try and see it in in practice and have a chat with the schools that are already on board”. Migration takes time, but “I think it's made life easier for a lot of people.”
